For over 100 years disAbility Connections (dC) has supported those with disabilities and worked to raise disability awareness.  The 30th annual disability awareness event will be held on October 10, 2026, The Inclusion Event (TIE) Connecting with Comedy.  The focus of the event is awareness of disability issues and includes everyone with or without a disability living together successfully in our community.

This year, dC is partnering with the Comedians with Disabilities Act in changing attitudes about disability one laugh at a time! Michael Beers, Nina G. and Mean Dave, who all have disabilities, both seen and unseen, bring forth the humor they find in their own experiences. Their focus is on being open, getting needed support and moving toward disAbility pride and goals.

A sign language interpreter and closed captioning will be provided at this event; both will be positioned on stage left (the right side when facing stage).  Wheelchair and walker users and a companion seating. Disability parking will be available at 115 W Pearl St, Jackson MI 49201 the night of the event.
